The day Ah Bern Get SICK!!

Last weekend, a weekend stuck on the bed for....recovering from:
1. Big dizzy headache
2. High fever of 38.5c
3. Muscle and Joint Pain... all over the body especially the shoulder and neck.
4. Stiffness is neck and shoulder
5. Chill Shivering cold although my room temperature is 33c.

So what Ah Bern do??... cost saving remedy hehehehe but a painful solution

GUA SHA

Gua Sha is a healing technique used in CHINA by practitioners of Traditional Medicine, in both the clinical setting and in homes, but little known in the West. It involves palpation and cutaneous stimulation where the skin is pressured, in strokes, by a round-edged instrument; that results in the appearance of small red petechiae called 'sha' look like bruise....plus very painful, that will fade in 2 to 3 days.

According to my Sifu @ home, Raising Sha removes blood stagnation considered pathogenic, promoting normal circulation and metabolic processes.The patient (ah Bern) experiences immediate relief from pain, stiffness, fever, chill, cough, nausea, and so on. Gua Sha is valuable in the prevention and treatment of acute infectious illness, upper respiratory and digestive problems, and many other acute or chronic disorders.

BALLs from HongKong's Food Culture

I know... this is last month's product (post)... I should had posted this easier... but this month (July), my workload really heavy... had to do this lar... that lar... then fall sick again... bla bla bla.

This is a small establishment located at Lowyat Plaza lower ground floor. It serves Hong Kong food, as the name implies.... Alan brought me here last month when both of us having Transformer Marathon.

Food choices were abundant, from rice, noodles, porridge, sandwiches, baked cheese rice to desserts. What I think is a really great deal was their duck rice + ribena combo, which only cost RM4.90. A normal duck rice at KL would already cost you RM4 at least. Take a look at the banner promoting it.... but what great is below!!

Breakfast Outing @ Yamisu Tea House

Another late post. ...Went for dim sum outing for breakfast. We opted for Yamisu and this was our first time there ....

Yomisu Tea House is located at Premier 101. It’s quite easy to spot because of the big banner spreading over the building. Plus the place is near to where I stay.

To my surprise the the place was packed....lucky that we managed to grab a table.

The menu. Although the variety of Dim Sum is limited compare to those in SS2, this place is consider comfortable and cozy.

10 years down the line, Joelle will be another 'GUINEA PIG' for Malaysian's Education System. Why can't we had English medium in Technical Subjects @ school? Lack of english speaking teacher?? incompetent teachers?? or Just because some 'nerdy sastera' famous people lead a 'mogok' to boycott English???

The recent concluding remarks: The Government has announced that Mathematics and Science will be taught in Bahasa Malaysia effective 2012!!

For those who suffer from PTK Exam (Civil Servant) especially those taking technical/ engineering subjects .... EXAMPLE: CAN someone just tell me what is engineering term of 'Tetulang' in English???? What about Sequence Bacth Reactor (SBR) in BM??? ...

From International and $$$$ view point - HOW MANY CIVIL SERVANT CAN SPEAK FLUENT ENGLISH OR DRAFT REPORT IN ENGLISH??? Asking WORLD BANK or IFC accept BM report when we or our government wanted to borrow money? or Do we wanted to persuade Western or CHINESE or ASIAN FDI using BM for investing in Malaysia?? .... we will be less competitive compared to other developing country for luring $$$$ into our country.

We adult had already suffered from the initial usage of BM in PMR/ SPM/ STPM years back and now we intend to revert back to the old system....

Remember ENGLISH is INTERNATIONAL & we all are just too naive to 'kill it' just because certain group disagree or at the moment no teachers can speak well in that language.

Yes Yes !! I did that...

Yes Yes ! my fellow friends... I had resigned since last month.... that's not a rumors and it's for real. I don't go around tell everyone of you... but I did it in a formal way... I am quitting, not because I am not happy with things are nor too stressed out (in facts I am in a very comfort zone of my career) but taking this big step more toward to personal matters.

That's my resignation letter...something that is hard to submit/ deliver/ and hand over to my superior.
